We pride ourselves on being an all inclusive club, so regardless of if you've been running all your life or just bought your first set of trainers we'll have a group for you.
Membership fees
Our membership fees run from April - April each year, so depending on when you join the costs can be different to allow everyone to renew in April.
To run with us on a Monday and a Wednesday or to take part in our championships, you will need our standard membership.
You then have the option to add on Track membership and also to become an Affiliated Member by buying England Athletics Membership and / or a Track member. It is cheaper for you to buy these as a bundle when you purchase your standard membership. Find out more about these add ons below. Alternatively you can pay as you go for track. It is £2.50 per session, must be paid in cash and must be exact change as the run leader on the night will not have a float.

Affiliation
The Sowerby Bridge Snails are an England Athletics recognised club. If you'd like to be an affiliated member it costs £19.
EA Members receive discounts on some race entries. EA membership is optional however if you wish to be in the ballot for our Snails club London Marathon place, you need to be an EA member AND a Snails member. EA Membership is an additional cost on top of standard membership.

If you choose to become an EA Member, the snails team will make the registration on your behalf.
TRACK
Track membership covers 3 track sessions a month which are held at Spring Hall Athletics Track on Fridays at 18:30. This is an additional cost on top of standard membership as the club have to pay to hire the track. Track membership is £25 per year.

New runners
If you’d like to see if the Snails are the right fit for you before you join, you can pay £1 for your first four runs, before deciding whether to become a fully-fledged member. After this point you will need to pay to become a member and purchase this through the website.
If you are trying out the club and paying £1 for your first four runs, please can you complete this online form prior to attending your first run.
Please note you do not have to take advantage of the trial £1 runs, if you prefer you can become a member from the outset, in which case you do not need to fill out the online form as all the relevant information is captured when you purchase membership.
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) statement
We use the personal data you give us to administer your membership and we only share your name and address data with 1) the EA – if you’ve asked us to arrange affiliation and 2) Sowerby Bridge Cricket Club – as your Snails membership automatically gives you social membership to the cricket club 3) race organisations on the rare occasions we offer facilitation of entry to events .
